Temple of Apollo, Side
The columns of the Temple of Apollo on the tip of the Side peninsula — Antalya’s classic sunset image.
Five white marble columns with part of their frieze stand on the edge of the sea at the end of the Side peninsula, the remains of a temple to Apollo from the Roman period. The neighbouring temple of Athena lies in ruins beside it.
The site is open and free to view, and at sunset the columns are silhouetted against the sea, which makes it a favourite stop for couples and photographers.
- →For honeymoon or private clients, schedule a late afternoon visit followed by dinner at the harbour.
- →Short walk from the theatre through the pedestrian old town.
