Sultan Murat Plateau
The “sea of clouds” plateau in Çaykara, cool and fresh even in summer.
The Sultan Murat plateau in Çaykara is one of the most beautiful highlands of the Black Sea range. It is known as the “sea of clouds”: on many mornings guests seem to walk above the clouds.
The air is cool and fresh even in midsummer. It is reached from the Uzungöl side and suits nature lovers and repeat visitors who have already seen the lake.
- →Early starts give the best chance of the cloud-sea effect.
- →Jeep or minibus only; the plateau has very limited facilities.
