Kayabaşı Plateau
Neighbouring plateau to Hıdırnebi, with meadows, wooden houses and long views.
Kayabaşı sits just beyond Hıdırnebi on the same highland road above Akçaabat. Its meadows and traditional wooden houses are typical of the Black Sea yayla culture, where families move up with their animals in summer.
The two plateaus are visited together: a short drive links them, and the views stretch over forested ridges towards the coast.
- →Best visited June to October; snow closes the upper road in winter.
- →Facilities are basic — plan lunch back in Akçaabat or at Sera Lake.
