Hıdırnebi Plateau
High plateau above the clouds, cool most of the year, with farms along the road.
Hıdırnebi is one of the signature plateaus of North Türkiye. The road up from Akçaabat passes many small farms, and because of its altitude the air on the plateau stays cool for most of the year.
On clear mornings the plateau sits above a sea of cloud. Wooden houses, meadows and simple cafés make it a quiet half-day for guests who want highland scenery close to the city.
- →About one hour from Meydan; the last section is narrow and winding — minibuses rather than coaches.
- →Bring a layer even in August; mornings can be cold.
