Zigana Mountains
Mountain pass with a ski centre in winter, swings and mountain biking in summer, and Europe’s longest twin-tube road tunnel.
The Zigana Mountains lie between Trabzon and Gümüşhane and form one of the long ranges of the Black Sea. In winter the ski centre offers skiing and snow play; in summer the same slopes are used for mountain biking and the giant swing.
The Zigana tunnel, opened in 2023, is Europe’s longest twin-tube road tunnel and has made the area faster to reach. The pass is about 1 hour 15 minutes from Meydan and is usually combined with Hamsiköy and the Torul glass terrace.
- →Winter programmes: ski equipment and sledges are rented on site; snow chains are carried on all vehicles.
- →Summer: swing and biking operate weather permitting and are paid locally unless pre-booked.
