Giresun Castle
Castle and park above the city and harbour.
Giresun Castle stands on a high rocky hill in the centre of the city, overlooking the peninsula, the harbour and the whole city. The inner castle once held the remains of a royal palace, while the outer walls ran south-west around the old town.
Today the castle hill is a park with cafés and some of the best views on the Giresun coast.
