İztuzu Beach (Turtle Beach)
Long sandbar beach and loggerhead turtle nesting site at the mouth of the Dalyan river.
İztuzu is a 4.5 km strip of sand between the sea and the Dalyan delta. It is a protected nesting area for loggerhead turtles, with regulations to keep the beach quiet at night.
The beach is reached by river boat from Dalyan or by road. There is a turtle rescue and research centre near the end of the beach.
- →The beach closes at night during the nesting season (May to October).
- →Do not plant umbrellas beyond the marked zone — rules protect turtle nests.
