Uludağ
Bursa’s “Great Mountain” — Türkiye’s best-known ski resort in winter and a cool forest escape in summer.
Rising to 2,543 m above Bursa, Uludağ is a national park of pine and fir forest with a ski area and hotel zone. In winter it offers snow play, sledging and skiing; in summer, picnics, walks and fresh air.
The Bursa Teleferik, one of the longest cable cars in the world, climbs from the city to Sarıalan in about 25 minutes, with spectacular views. Grill restaurants at Sarıalan and Kirazlıyayla are part of the tradition.
- →Ski season usually runs December to March, depending on snowfall.
- →Cable car operation is weather-dependent — have the road route as backup.
- →Bring warm layers even in summer; temperatures drop quickly at altitude.
