Cape Yason & church
Cape with a historic church and lighthouse on the sea.
Cape Yason is a small peninsula in the Perşembe district, about 45 km from Ordu. It is known for its historic church, built in 1868 on the remains of an older temple, and for its link to the legend of Jason and the Golden Fleece.
In antiquity a temple to Jason stood at the water’s edge to protect sailors from the rough Black Sea. Today it is one of the most photogenic stops on the Ordu coast.
- →Combine with Çaka Beach on the same coast road.
- →Windy even in summer — bring a light layer.
